Bizl LLC ("Bizl," "we," "us," or "our") operates an AI-powered local visibility platform that helps local businesses get found in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google, and other AI search engines. We take your privacy seriously.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to all visitors to bizl.com, all users of our free tools, and all subscribers to our paid services.
2. Information We Collect
When you create an account, use our free tools, or subscribe to a paid service, you provide us with:
- Name and email address
- Business name, website URL, and business address (for service delivery)
- Phone number (for account verification and service coordination)
- Payment information (card details processed by Stripe, we do not store card numbers)
- Intake form responses: business category, target keywords, competitors, service area, and other information needed to perform your local visibility optimization
- Communications with our team via email, contact forms, or chat
When you use our free tools (AI Visibility Scanner, Schema Generator, Citation Audit Preview, Competitor Gap Preview), we collect your email address to deliver your results and may use it to follow up about our services. You can opt out of follow-up communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
When you visit bizl.com, we automatically collect certain technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URL, and device type. This data is used to improve our platform and is not linked to your personal identity unless you are logged in.
We use analytics tools to understand how our website is used. These tools may place cookies on your browser. See Section 7 for details on our use of cookies.
3. Business Data We Process on Your Behalf
A significant part of our service involves handling data about your business, not about you as an individual. This includes your business's name, address, phone number, website content, Google Business Profile data, citations across directories, schema markup, and competitor information.
We process this business data strictly to deliver your service. We do not use your business's competitive intelligence data for any purpose other than providing your contracted services. We do not share your business data, scan results, or competitor analysis with other clients or third parties.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate bizl.com and deliver our services. These providers are contractually required to handle data only as directed by us and to maintain appropriate security measures. See Section 6 for our primary sub-processors.
We may disclose your data when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
If bizl.com is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice and, where required by law, obtain consent before transferring your data to a new entity under materially different privacy terms.
If you are using bizl.com as an end-client of a white-label agency partner, your data may be visible to that agency partner for the purposes of managing your account. The agency partner's use of your data is governed by their agreement with us and their own privacy policy.

We review sub-processors regularly and update this list as our technology stack changes. Each sub-processor is bound by a data processing agreement that requires appropriate data protection standards.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking cookies for ad networks. We do not serve ads on bizl.com and do not share browsing data with ad networks.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using the platform. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site. Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings menus.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations:

When data is no longer needed for any purpose, we delete or irreversibly anonymize it. You may request earlier deletion under the rights described in Section 10.
9. Data Security
We implement and maintain technical and organizational security measures appropriate to the risk of our processing activities, including:
- Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS 1.2 and higher on all connections
- Data at rest encrypted using AES-256 encryption
- Hashed and salted passwords, we cannot recover your password, only reset it
- JWT-based authentication with token expiration
- Role-based access controls limiting internal access to data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
- No storage of payment card data, all card processing handled entirely by Stripe
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we implement strong security practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@bizl.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with additional rights.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, IP address); commercial information (products purchased, payment history); internet or network activity (website usage data); and professional or employment-related information (business name, category, and contact details you provide).
California residents may request: (1) the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected; (2) the categories of sources from which it was collected; (3) the business purpose for collecting it; (4) the categories of third parties with whom we share it; and (5) deletion of their personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
To submit a verifiable California consumer request, email privacy@bizl.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request.
12. GDPR and EEA / UK Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR apply to our processing of your personal data.
We process your personal data on the following legal bases: contract performance (to provide services you have purchased); legitimate interests (to improve our platform, prevent fraud, and conduct follow-up communications from free tools, where these do not override your rights); legal obligation (to comply with applicable laws); and consent (where we request it explicitly, such as for optional marketing communications).
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We ask that you contact us first at privacy@bizl.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.
13. Children's Privacy
bizl.com is a business-to-business platform intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected personal data from a minor, please contact us at privacy@bizl.com.
14. International Data Transfers
bizl.com is operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
For transfers from the EEA or UK to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Where our sub-processors are based outside the EEA, we ensure they maintain equivalent data protection standards through contractual mechanisms.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
- Send registered users an email notification describing the significant changes
- Where required by law, seek renewed consent for any new processing activities
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of bizl.com after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, except where additional consent is required by law.
